VAE Inc. Competes in the “LLS Olympics” For a Good Cause
On May 24th at 10 AM, VAE team “Shock and Awe” charged the field for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Connect for a Cure Olympic Games at Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg, VA. This was VAE’s first year competing in the Olympics to support and raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which funds lifesaving blood cancer research and provides free information and support services to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. VAE competed against other IT companies like Cisco, Red River, and Presidio in numerous events that included dodgeball, basketball, rock wall climbing, football throw, home run derby, a hot dog eating contest, relay race, bubble soccer, and tug of war. Although VAE did not win this year or even place (currently taking applications for a new team captain for next year), they were honored to compete for such a noble cause and look forward to participating again; hopefully with an even bigger team and turn out than this year!
